Recently, students from Edgewood High School (20) and Swan Creek (4) traveled to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, 24 students who are interested in healthcare professions had the opportunity to learn about shock trauma care and explore careers in the field, while also gaining valuable insight into teen trauma prevention. Students toured various sections of the facility, participated in a distracted driving simulator, and earned two certifications: Stop the Bleed and “Minds of the Future” (Trauma Prevention).
